Many books that he recommends about psychology and stuff I have already read before discovering the community, and I would highly recommend everyone into this stuff does too. He teaches you how to apply it to seduction specifically, but its so much better if you know the roots of it so you can apply it everywhere.

The best part about David DeAngelo's stuff is that he teaches a lot of inner game. That really makes you think about yourself at the highest levels and I think has a profound effect on how you FEEL inside. That's probably the biggest take away from his material.
