My impressions of the Chicago Bootcamp in 2009 was the excitment and information provided by each of the instructors. This was my first bootcamp and it will certainly won't be my last. The structure of the seminars is an overview of the mystery method and I was fortunate to go in-field with the instructors to find my stickying points, such as the 3 second rule, stacking forward, and having fun. They made feel comfortable with going to a club/social setting to open a set to make conversation and recognize the interest level of the set; to either stack forward material or walk-away. The most important principle from this bootcamp is to smile and have fun.

I have read 2 out of the 3 books, The Game and The Mystery Method and based on Lovedrop's enthusiasm I plan on purchasing Revelation.

I've never heard of Discovery before to be honest. I took Friday off to have a 3 day Bootcamp. My plan is to concentrate for a weekend and get this under my belt. VA postponed bootcamp for a week (it's good as I was down with a cold that weekend anyway) One week later it starts on Friday

All in all, I just got what I expected from this regional bootcamp. If there were more people taking it, and Discovery could have had more junior instructors, that could have been very very good, but, I'm just happy to have this under my belt.

Finally
Thanks Discovery for your energy, passion, and enthusiasm for the Game and teaching what you have managed to learn in a short period of time. I can recommend this experience to anyone who wants to take the next giant step in their game. Yes, its expensive for most people but it is worth it.

As I sit here two days since attending the Sydney bootcamp, I still feel a buzzing sensation in the centre of my chest. It is a sensation that is not unpleasant. It is also a sensation that makes me feel like I could explode, like the moment when your team scores in the last seconds of a game turning certain defeat into a famous victory.

WHY do I feel this sensation?

Because I get it. I finally get it.

After four years of learning the concepts I finally got to see it in action, realising that:

THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR SEEING HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED FIRST HAND.

The how to approach training is only a small part of it. Entering into the club with Mystery behind me commenting in my ear as we went along made me realise just how sensitive a room can be to your actions and why a positive mindset is so important. Through his training, I started to see things differenty; 3-D schematics were being drawn into my head as I became aware of the new information that I had been unconsciously ignoring in social settings.

Mystery and Discovery are fantastic teachers and remarkably easy to relate to. Their energy levels, delivery, and infield instruction motivate and inspire.

Matador (Stan Tayi)

Classroom:

First off, Hawaii has been limiting his Vegas boot camps to just three students. So with the small number of students, Hawaii was able to tailor our lecture portion each day to our individual knowledge levels. In fact, this started a few days before the boot camp with a call from Hawaii. During the call, he gets a feel for your knowledge and skill level and plans the entire boot camp accordingly. This was really helpful as we spent more time learning and practicing material that was specific to our individual needs. In fact, I don't think we spent any time going over concepts or material we already knew. I took pages of notes and got lots of new material to try out in the field.

Field:

Day 1 was at a local night club on the strip. We thought it was going to be just us and Hawaii, but to our surprise, Matador joined us also. Since this was demo night, the first thing we did was watch Hawaii open a set. Hawaii approached a two set and was sitting down with them and had them laughing within thirty seconds. The target was leaning over the obstacle she was so attracted! Hawaii used the exact routines he had taught us in class and they worked perfectly. Listening to someone talk about this stuff is one thing, but to actually see it in action is incredible. After Hawaii's set, Matador went to work. Well, I don't even know how to describe that. He basically took over the entire venue. Matador adds new meaning to the words alpha and kino. On one of his sets, he had the target so attracted she left the set and asked us what was happening (to her). I don't think she had ever felt that level of attraction before. Thirty seconds later she was cleaning Matador's tonsils! Incredible thing to see. I watched him make out with five different girls that night, so this guy is definitely the real deal. After Hawaii ran another demo, he started sending us into sets. Both Hawaii and Matador were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. You definitely have to be able to take criticism, but it was always delivered in a helpful manner and there was no judgment or egos involved.

Day 2 was just us and Hawaii. Instead of another night club, Hawaii decided to have us run sets in the casino lounges. The good thing about this was it was way quieter than a night club, so we didn't have to yell to be heard or lean in to hear. Hawaii gave us instant feed back on every set. This was the most helpful thing for me and the reason I took a boot camp in the first place. Hawaii brought a video camera with him and covertly filmed us in set. That's not part of the boot camp, just something he is experimenting with. We reviewed the video on Sunday and it was incredibly helpful to actually see yourself in set.

Day 3 was at a local buffet which was more relaxing than a classroom setting. We debriefed, ate and then actually ran some more sets.

Intructors:

Hawaii: First off, Hawaii is an all around great guy. He is incredibly helpful and really takes his job seriously. I sincerely believe his motivation for teaching this stuff is to help people and ensure they succeed. During the boot camp, Hawaii went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out and make sure we were successful. He is very easy going, but is relentless in pushing you past your comfort zone to get you doing things you don't believe you can do. Hawaii has a great knowledge of the material and he presented it in a fun, interesting way. He followed up each presentation with insight and experiences that really helped me understand the material. I would highly recommend him for a boot camp or a one on one!

Matador: I am not going to write a lot about Matador, because I think his reputation says enough. His knowledge of the game is very, very extensive and deep. When he talks about game theory, it seems almost spiritual. Watching his style of game is incredible. I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it. He is at a level way above anyone else I have ever seen. If you ever get a chance to take a boot camp with him, do it!

Overall Impression:

The boot camp was definitely worth the expense. There is no better way to learn than taking a boot camp. The instructors were great and incredibly helpful. The most insightful thing for me was watching both Matador and Hawaii open sets. Both of them were using the same method and material but with entirely different styles. Matador was over the top, guns blazing alpha guy, while Hawaii was low key and under the radar. It showed me that any type of guy can make this work with a little dedication and practice.
Thanks to Venusian Arts for the experience!

The Bad
1) There shall be some time during the day lectures for us to practice before going to the field. We all have the lines in our head, but when we need it they just doesn't come out. We should have to time to practice with our fellow friends. This would help us to get used to opening set and we can help to correct the wrong body language of others at the same time learn from other's mistake. 2) There shall be more than two nights of training in the field. In the book The Game it started off with 4 days of training. Why I said that is because on the first night is just to get the feel, the second night is get warm up and if there is a third night we can get into the game better. Since the last day is a Sunday, it is still ok to have another night of field training. 3) If there some culture different, it shall be highlighted earlier. Such as to have a formal shoes to enter the clubs. 4) Maybe there should be a short session where the coach can help to advice the guys on their dress sense. I believe we are open to different opinions and try out new stuff. Those fashion guys advices to us might not be applicable to us when we want to do peacocking. 5) Since we have some time before sarging, maybe it would be a good idea that we can try a bit of the game outside the club instead. To get warm up. Or maybe a bit of the daygame.
The day lesson helped to fill our brain with loads of new information and some information that we may not heard of. Such as compliance test TV test, good but it do take some guts and knowing when to do it (during A3). But more than often I find that I'm overloaded with information on what to do in the evening. For a start, I find that I'm almost going into the set with the openers with the words (Word by word) that we are taught.

For the first night, we were brought to a small club for a start. Within minutes the floor was open more than once. I still remember a blonde who is at least a 9 was opened up more than 6 times. Can hear that she said not again with the same opener. Found her in the second club where the same problem still persists. In that club I was introduced to a pivot (a lady friend) who will help me to open set and even to the extend to isolate my obstacles. This is the place where I really got push by my coach and pivots to start picking up chicks and getting over my anxiety. After a few warm up sets it got me warm up for the next club that we going.

Seeing that most of the guys are opening sets on the same floor, I told myself that I have to be different and find myself a new group to practice. I went to the other end of the club and found two ladies sited there. With nothing to lose I started practicing with my openers again. Right after I said that I wanted their opinion on something, they stop me by informing me that they are either attached or married. My immediate response was Hey relax, I just want a opinion from you. Nothing much. It helps to get past their shit test, they are opened and we started talking. The conversation was good, they seem to ask me more question so I don't even need to think that much. While engaging in the conversation, my coach Gurmit (G) came in to wing me. He came in to instill a high value of me to my set by saying that I was a popular guy in some other places. That did make me more attractive to the ladies that I'm talking to although they maybe attached. My coach demonstrated the importance and how to be the wingman.

I find that some of the guys got really into condition and manage to hook sets and bound them to the VIP sits (Which we were not told of). Understand that Discovery hook some stripper that day and got kind of tired for his lecture the next day (hahaha.). But there is another group of students still struggling trying to open up sets like me. Maybe it would be good if some coach could be around to help those lost sheep.

On the second night, I have slight more comfortable in opening sets by gathering the good feelings from the good sets that I open on the first night.

Soon after we arrive we were told to practice what we had learned. Mystery came to talk me the group of guys that I'm in telling us what is proximity. If the chicks were standing closed to her, it meant that they are interested and want to be opened. He pointed out to everyone on the floor saying that everyone here are social robots, there is nothing to fear of. We shall give love to the floor.

For some reason, the chicks don't understand my accent and that something that I don't experience when I was studying in South Yorkshire. That is why I choose to go UK for the bootcamp, thinking that I wouldn't have any communication problem. Maybe it is because of the music. This limiting believes did hold me back that night to do approach again.

Luckily, another pivot Elisabeth was there to help me to get over this limiting believes. She kind of drags me to start opening set again. We went into this group of young cute chicks, but they have problem hearing me or it's my accent. Elisabeth helps me to explain and got them into conversation mode, but was told by her that I took my target's hand too fast which makes her uncomfortable. We left the set shortly. We tried a few set before going into the VIP room.

Just before we got into the room, some chicks were being hook and brought to the room. Discovery show us how the one minute kiss close was done. It was really a eye opener, make us believe that it works if we have the guts to do that.

Seeing that I'm not having the game, Discovery push Jenny (The chick he show us the one minute kiss close) to me and say that we are into this game that both us shall go out and bring back as many chicks as we can within a time frame. She just happens to be from another city with her friends. We round up her friends within minutes and bring them to the room. They were 7 and the 8s in the room, but I just couldn't open them. But the Mystery and the rest of the coaches have no problem in opening them up. This is something that I have to work on. There we took quite a number of photos too with the chicks. (Discovery, if you reading this could you sent me the photos that you took that day?)

I tried a number of kino techniques that I learn that afternoon on Jenny. Just didn't dare to do the kiss close. She was comfort with me; it was a pity that I lost her when I was talking to someone else. If not I could have bounce her to somewhere else and bring her to my hotel room.

There was another two set that I went into with the same opener. After a while I just run out of things to say, at the moment Love Drop just came by to wing me. We talk a bit and he helps me with my set and bounces them to the VIP room. In the room another student came to wing me, but by mistake he took my target. Anyway we out there to practice, so no big deal. My mind really went blank and I have to think of something to talk to the chick that is with me. Then I spin her and bounce her just outside of the VIP room for a short chat (mini date), when I did that her friend tried to stop us but knowing that we are not going far she doesn't mind. As I was about to do the kiss close by telling her a story about animal kingdom then pull her hair for the kiss. That was the moment her friend (Obstacle) came in to pull her away to the washroom as my wing had ejected from the set and left her feeling bored. That was the moment that I understand the importance of the duty of wingman. Although not having a lot to say, I did some kino stuff and she is showing IOI that allows me to go further. But it'a pity that my obstacle isn't being entertained so that I can hook up my set.

This is the final night out and I had the chance to see Mystery in action. He holds eye contacts with the chicks in the club even if they are with another guy and they would give him their eye contact to the extend of turning her head. People looked at him like the rock star. I remember Mystery actually open up a couple and open up his arm and went for the guy instead. The of course didn't hug the guy, but the ice was broke and we were laughing. Like Mystery said, those couples are bored as no guys/gals would approach so we shall give love to them as well. It's not about hooking up with someone else chicks, but to have a normal conversation (To built up social proof as well).

Mystery doesn't really have to use the pick up line that we are using. He just goes around saying he's really full with the lobster that he had for lunch/dinner and conversation just flows naturally from there.

I was lucky to see some of the magic tricks that he does in the field. He makes a drinking straw disappear and can tie a fur around his neck and break free. This really gets the chicks in the field intrigued. That's something that I want to learn as well.

Watching Mystery on video talking about pick up only and seeing him in action is two separate things to me. Seeing is believing. It's worth every single cent to watch the Master in action and pick up some ticks from him.

I attended the Manchester bootcamp on the saturday daytime seminar and also on the extra daygame seminar session on the sunday and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I didn't go out in the evenings as it suited my budget for now to go for the theory side of things, but some of stories told the next day were great. I found Discovery to be a very inspiring teacher and showed many great examples of how to put venusian methods to practise aided with the help of his wing-women who attended the seminars for her feedback and suggestions too.

Saturday was about going into the fine details of the mystery method, including specific openers, examples of full interaction from opening to comfort, examples of role-play and cold reading. And how to actual deliver these with the best impact for attraction. He helped us think about how to write our own interesting stories and gambits for future interactions. Gave great advice on how to make adjustments to your game after each time you go out helping you take things to the next level. He was great at demonstrating the textbook mystery openers, as well as new ones he has saved for the seminar students. So much so I would forget that he was teaching and get absorbed into whatever story he was conveying with his great delivery! So many things were covered that note taking is certainly recommended

Sunday was the extra day-game session which was fascinating, regarding the differences between that and night game, how to open sets in the day and good openers to use, including great locations to use and ideas on how to number close or instant date. Discovery is still developing his own fresh new openers and gambits, so he demonstrated some of his favourite latest ones he's been using in the field as well as some great ideas for crossing that day-game boundary and making contact with someone random that I definitely wouldn't have thought up myself but potentially powerful once you are taught.

In the couple of weeks since the bootcamp I have already been putting into practise many of the (as cheesy as it sounds but its true) life-changing ideas that I have gone away with as well as making lots more day-game approaches even on the train journey to and from work!

So a big thanks to Discovery for his great work and I see exciting times ahead for myself working on my personal development in the game.

It started with A call from Derby,he was great on the phone and filled me in.It is real easy to come up with reasons not to follow thru with something like this, time, money whatever. But I loooked at it like this,I have made time in my life and spent money for things that had no real positive long term benefit for me,this was different, this was A gift to myself.I thank Derby,Mo,Colgate,Discovery and the man himself Mystery, I was taught something from each of them, and was left with the feeling of being apart of A grand brotherhood. Thank You

I'd like to share this quote,it was given to me on A postcard by A girl after A day two at Boc Tower Gardens here in Florida.

It's official- Moxie and Metro are the*2 coolest guys in the world! (with special mention to my two partners in crime DnP and Dr. Cheese). Bootcamp isn't called Bootcamp for no reason. It is a gruelling 3 days of physical, mental and emotional conditioning that is probably one of the hardest things i've ever had to do. I had to face my fears head on in the 'in feild' portion of the weekend (4 hours Friday night, and 4 hours on Saturday night) with my instructors pushing me into dozens of sets, and scenarios which I would have once not thought possible. Seeing the boys in action in some advanced technique, Metro with the ability to lead any girl,*anywhere, anytime,*like some kind of jedi mind trick,*and a highlight of*Moxie handling with absolute ease*and precision,*a 6 guy amog, to sweep 2 ladies off their feet was fucking amazing. In the day sessions, breakdowns of the m3 model, with greater explanations and examples of each and every process, added a new dimension to my learning. We created scenarios of many situations, with a real hands on approach, so to speak, and ran through real world/real time possibilities which gave a greater understanding than just the reading of books. The correct use of body language and vocal tonality was made clear through these drills and demonstrations, which were done over and over till we got it right. Moxie and Metro went beyond the call of duty in many ways with their attention to detail and personalised*training to each student, I was very comfortable with these instructers, and put my full trust in their hands. Their passion,*Honesty, and dedication was if their hearts were on their sleeves. Although I still have much to learn through experience and continued self development, bootcamp was a nesessary part of my training, and Moxie and Metro were the right teachers for me. In choosing my instructors, I could have taken a bootcamp with Sherrif, and i'm sure that would have been just great too, both Sheriff and Moxie both had great reveiws for their bootcamps, but I wanted to train with an Australian guy, because after all, Australia is where I live, Australia is where I sarge! Anyone who decides to take a Moxie bootcamp because of my reveiw, let Moxie know this, because I want him to know that I am very thankful for what he has taught me, and that I would recommend him to anyone who is serious about self improvement.

Hey guys. I'm not new to the game but I am certainly new to havin a clue on how to do it right. I have given myself the name of Fantastico only cause its the name I took for myself for high school spanish. It has nothing to do with delusions of grandure in the game..... yet. In hopes of propeling me to that end I signed up for and took a boot camp recently in D.C. with Discovery and love drop. I have been asked to review my experience there and so here it is:

Class room instruction:
We here in America are forced to attend 12 years of high school and many of us who are not brave enough to buck the system early then subject our selves to another 4-8 years of torture in college. After that there are team meetings seminars etc. add nausium. So.... we all know when we have people in front of us who know how to teach. In D.C. that was certainly the case. Every hour was packed with very useful information, delivered in an entertaining fasion by men who were able to answer questions and clarify material on the fly. My pen never stopped moving and now I have a note book full of amazing material that I review often.

Out in the field:
Approaching a woman you are attracted to under any circumstance is a thrilling experience but the is something special about doing it when you have 10-30 class mates watching you and your teachers are evaluating your every move. I loved it! The instructors were Amazing. I was in a two set with love drop when he leaned in to my ear so they couldn't hear and said "Talk, talk" Classic!!! So I did. I ended up number closing a hot blond whe kept puting in new chewing gum and blowing on my face asking me if it was workin. " I can't tell a little closer baby".....
At the bar at another place I was hitting some road blocks with a 9 when discovery put his phone in front of my face which simply read "Lean back" I continued with my approach using the body positioning techniques he taught in class and number closed again.
I had numerous fun approaches that I would not have made if it were not for the prodings of the Instructors who were very engaged and helpful to all of my fellow students. I had a great time.

Post class success:
The proof is in the pudding. After returning home from my D.C. boot camp I have aquired a 9.2 friend with beifits that I atribute to what I have learned about the "love bubble" and "gettin a Life". I have closed on a stripper friend of whom I was previously unsuccessful using hard flash game that I learned in class. I have also closed a day game pick up on a 26 year old that was walking her dog down my street. Felt like a porn star on that one . I give all the credit to these recent successes and my thanks to Love Drop, Discovery and the team that made the D.C. boot camp possible.
